Native American pottery Cochiti Pueblo horse storyteller by Dena Suina.
This storyteller on horseback makes a nice companion to PM69 on this Native-Potterylink.com website. Dena Suina is a highly respected pottery artist at Cochiti Pueblo. She has established an enviable reputation as Cochiti pottery artist, although she was born into San Felipe Pueblo, not Cochiti.
During her childhood and teenage, she didn’t work with clay, only after she married into Cochiti Pueblo, did she learn the skills from her mother-in-law that have served her so well on the path of pottery making.
In the years since, Dena has developed a distinct personal style fueled by her creativity and her knack for precise shaping and intricate painting.
