Hopi Pots
Ida Sahmie is an interesting potter because she was/is a Navajo who married a Hopi, despite a long history of rivalry between those two tribes. She adopted Hopi pottery styles based on her move to Hopiland and her in-law relationship to Priscilla Nampeyo. In this case, the pot was signed as Dine’ in 1999.
