Andrew Rodriquez
is a young potter from Laguna Pueblo. His work reflects both the pueblo
pottery tradition of beautifully formed pottery and a sensitive approach
to modern idioms. In addition to his abstract figures, he also creates
plaques with bas relief impressions that are highly prized. We are proud
to have his pieces in our personal collection and to offer it to lovers
of fine Pueblo pottery.

Michael Kanteena
is a Laguna Pueblo potter who specializes in recreations of historic
and pre-historic styles, such as those found in the ruins of Chaco Canyon
and Mesa Verde. Recently, his studies of ancient pottery have led him
to explore the design motifs of the Mimbres and ancient Mexican peoples,
which also have found their way into his contemporarystyles.
As a result, his pots
have a distinctive look that is not confused with other pueblo potters.
Michael lives at Laguna
Pueblo with his wife, Cynthia, daughter, Shawnee, and son, Joseph. He
received a BA in Fine Arts from Easern New Mexico University.
